WeWork, the US company providing shared workspaces and office solutions, was second, with $2.8bn, while Regus, another office space provider, spent $2.5bn.

EuroDisney also saw $2.5bn in capex, ahead of the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board, which spent $2.1bn.
