If the current trend continues, Ukraine can expect to register a healthy increase in inward FDI levels in 2013, according to greenfield investment monitor fDi Markets. By October 2013, the country had recorded 45 investment projects, equaling the total recorded in the whole of 2012. More than one-third of all projects in the first 10 months of the year were recorded in the first quarter.

FDI into Ukraine had been declining year on year since 2010, but despite the growth likely to be registered in 2013, investment is still significantly below its peak in 2008, when 114 projects were recorded.
