Georgia’s economy has been developing fast since the ‘Rose Revolution’ of 2003. We have successfully implemented economic reforms which have made Georgia an attractive country for investors. Today, Georgia is acknowledged as one of the top countries in the world to implement economic reforms and is ranked 11th in the world for ease of doing business by the World Bank.

Georgia is a country with the free economy. Any company can freely carry out significant investment and we have truly created an ideal environment to welcome investors. Our government supports investors into Georgia and we fully expect that investments into Georgia will continue to grow.

One of our biggest and most important investors in Georgia is Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (RAKIA), which has many projects throughout the country. The most strategically important project is the development of the free industrial zone at Poti. This project will work as a catalyst for tremendous economic growth not only in Poti, but throughout the whole of Georgia. With the new factories in Poti Free Industrial Zone (Poti FIZ), new employment opportunities will arise, which, in turn, will improve the lifestyle and living conditions of the region. I am sure Poti Free Industrial Zone will become the destination of choice for investors from all over the world.

I wish Poti FIZ project every success.

H E Mikheil Saakashvili
