The firm, headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, builds on operations across 36 countries employing 13,000 staff worldwide. The new service and operations centre in Latin America will focus on software development, IT applications, financial data analysis, risk management services, marketing and global technical support.

In a selection process which included Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama and Uruguay, Experian chose Chile because of its efficient services and telecommunications system as well as its time zone and direct connections to the US west coast.

The new office has 300 bilingual employees and will recruit an additional 150 staff in 2008.
