The software and IT services sector was the top job creator in the Americas in the first half of 2018, adding 64, 080 jobs.
The automotive components sector was next up, creating 55,037, ahead of the automotive OEM sector, which saw 38,063 new roles in H1.

Hotels and tourism was not far behind, adding 37,392 jobs, while the metals sector created 34,951 jobs in the first half of the year.
