Under a deal signed at the Dubai Air Show, Livewel will locate in a 23,960-square-metre maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility, which will be operational by 2009. It will cater to airlines from the Middle East, India and Europe.

M F Daver, chairman and managing director of the Livewel Group, said: “The MRO facility will be a state-of-the-art aircraft hangar large enough to accommodate the A-380.”

Abdulla Al Qurashi, CEO, DWC Aviation City, said: “India’s expertise in the MRO market is respected worldwide and [this agreement] will bring in the right resources, and personnel to this region.”
