Top Asia-Pacific destination city for FDI projects, Q1 2015
In the first quarter of 2015, Singapore secured 87 FDI projects, making it the most popular destination city in Asia-Pacific in the quarter by a significant margin. The city recorded more than double the number of foreign investments as its closest rival, Shanghai, which recorded 41, making it the second most popular city.
Hong Kong recorded 37 projects in the first three months of the year, making it the third most popular destination city in Asia-Pacific. It was closely followed by Bangalore with 36 projects. Sydney made up the top five, with 30 projects recorded in the Australian city in the quarter.
