In 2007, Argentina invested a total of $502.58m in FDI according to data from greenfield investment monitor fDi Markets, while so far in 2010 it has invested a total of $1.42bn.
Recently, IMPSA Malaysia, a subsidiary of Argentina-based energy provider IMPSA, has announced it will establish a joint venture with an Indonesian firm to build two hydro-electric power stations in Indonesia. The plants will cost $500m each and take three years to build.

Argentinian software developer Hexacta has also invested $500,000 to open an new office in the US state of Virginia. The company receives 60% of its revenue in the US and had previously operated in the country via a network of distributors.
