Business services achieved a close second place with 1898 projects, with software and IT services in third place with 1679. The worst-performing sector was ceramics and glass, with only 46 investments reported. Minerals also fared poorly, with 51 projects.
One of the sharpest declines in FDI was in the building and construction materials sector, which recorded 113 projects in the first six months, but only 34 thereafter.
