Overall the region suffered a decrease of 891 fewer investments in 2010 compared to 2009. The Philippines, which had been in tenth place in 2009, fell out completely and was replaced by Indonesia which had 101 investments.

The only country to receive more investments in the top ten in 2001 compared to the previous year was Malaysia, with 159 projects.

China and India remained the top two destinations for the region, despite both countries seeing investment project numbers fall by more than 100.
