In the third quarter of 2010 no other country was close to the US in terms of investment projects. Data showed that the US received more than 350 projects in the quarter and made nearly 300 investments itself into the region.
Canada was the second most popular destination market in the same time period, but had far fewer investments, with only about 30. Mexico was not far behind in third place.

On the other side, the UK was the second most active foreign investor in the region, with 25 projects.
