A breakdown of individual destination countries shows a few countries – the US, Brazil and Romania – that are seeing strong starts to 2010 for project numbers. The US has seen a 14% increase in FDI projects at the beginning of 2010, compared to the same period in 2009.

This compares favourably to the UK, which witnessed a 16% drop when these quarters are compared. China has maintained a steady performance, while India, Germany and the United Arab Emirates have witnessed decreases.
