Top Americas FDI destination cities by project numbers Q1 2015

In the first quarter of 2015, New York City secured 44 FDI projects, making it the most popular destination city in the Americas in the quarter. The city recorded more than double the number of foreign investments as its closest rival, San Francisco, which recorded 20. 

The US city of Houston and Canadian city of Toronto were tied in third place, both attracting 17 FDI projects in the first three months of the year. The Brazilian city of São Paulo, the only city outside of North America to make the list, took fifth place, with 14 projects recorded in the quarter.
