The US is the world’s leading destination country for aerospace-related FDI projects, but Asia-Pacific is the world’s top region for investment into the sector.
Figures from fDiMarkets show that Asia-Pacific and the US have been the most popular region and country since January 2003 through to December 2010.
Unsurprisingly, the US is far and away the leading destination country for these projects, with a total of 214. The proximity between the second, third and fourth destination countries is much closer, with the UK, China and India having 85, 76 and 67 projects, respectively.
However, Asia-Pacific is leading the way as the most popular regional destination for aerospace-related investment, with a total of 363 projects. North America trails both Asia-Pacific and western Europe as the leading world regional destination for aerospace projects.
