fDi American Cities of the Future 2013/14 is the largest and most comprehensive rankings for the Americas region which fDi Magazine has conducted to date. In total 422 cities were assessed and nearly 130 cities supplied further information on their FDI strategies.
Uncertainty characterises the current global economic climate. Yet New York has remained a top global destination for FDI, and was named as fDi Magazine’s American City of the Future 2013/14, with São Paulo coming in second. Canadian cities Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver ranked third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
