The automotive components sector recorded 23,817 new jobs as a result of FDI in the Americas in 2014, making it the largest sector by job creation in the region. It was closely followed by the automotive OEM sector, which saw some 23,391 jobs created as a result of overseas investment. 

Software and IT services, the third largest sector in the region by job creation figures, saw 19,054 new jobs in the year, while the real estate and business services industries recorded 15,930 and 14,920, respectively.
