The US and Canada have remained strong destinations for these projects and have experienced growth since 2005. In 2009 the US had 106 inward investment projects. Canada had only 17, but this is significantly higher than in previous years.
Both countries are on pace to exceed the number of investments they received in 2009, while globally the sector’s investments appear to have fallen by as much as 40%.
