With an extensive 18-year background in globalisation and economic development, Kavan has collaborated with over 250 regional and national investment promotion agencies to successfully secure greenfield and strategic investments.

Alex Irwin-Hunt

Alex is an editor at fDi Intelligence. He writes a weekly column about data trends concerning global trade and investment and has covered FDI-related stories in markets around the world, including special reports about locations in Europe, Africa, North America and the Caribbean. Danielle Myles

Danielle is an editor at fDi Intelligence and has a particular interest in economic development, sustainability and urban regeneration. She has written extensively on the policies and reforms reshaping global investment and leads the commissioning of op-eds for fDi. She has reported from 20 countries and started her career as a corporate lawyer in Australia. She is now based in Milan, Italy, and before joining fDi Intelligence she worked for more than a decade as a financial journalist in London and New York.

Tony Restall

Tony is the chairman and founder of free zone consultancy DSI and co-founder of Freezone Development and Investment. He has over 42 years’ experience with free zones and was part of the team that launched the first zone in the Middle East, the Jebel Ali in Dubai. Since then he has been involved in establishing many other successful free zones throughout the Middle East and beyond, and is working on new projects stretching from the Caribbean to the South Pacific.
